Behind the scenes of Elaine's Creative Gallery........
Elaine Mackie Wright graduated in 1997 after studing jewellery and silversmithing at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee. Whilst studying Elaine had a passion for photography and was able to develop this skill using dark room facilities and Dundee's amazing variety of architecture and subject matter. After a period of eight years studying jewellery Elaine decided that she would like to change direction to a medium which she felt enabled her to experiment a bit more freely. This freedom came in the form of Landscape Photography and continues to this day.
Elaine says "Photography, I felt captured the inner workings of my soul and that of Mother Nature and her wonder's. Enabling me to photograph these wonders when simply walking along a shoreline, climbing a mountain range or simply sitting in a forest with bird's song. So, this is where the roots of my business began".

Part of her role was also attending Industry Awareness Days for Careers Scotland, where business enterprise is advocated to secondary school children.
Elaine can often be found chatting to other like minded entrepreneurs at business networking events including WIB - Women In Business and C.E.O (Cultural Enterprise Office) based within the CCA in Glasgow and at BEE events

As their main focus of business is taking photographs in and around the Scottish scenic landscape, Elaine Mackie Wright Creative Gallery decided to give a little something back and is now proud to be a member of the Woodland Trust.
